CIO Dinner with Speaker John Ellis, Head of the Board Practice. Topic - How to become an Non-Executive Director

CIO Dinner

Speaker John Ellis, Head of the Board Practice

How to become an Non-Executive Director

Michael Grade has famously compared Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) to bidets: “you are not sure what they’re for, but they add a touch of class.” This may have been true once, but no longer.

We’d like to invite you to the first of our small, themed dinners for selected CIOs and IT Directors, to discuss the changing role of the NED and the plusses and minuses of becoming one. To help us with content and experience, we’ve asked John Ellis who heads up Boyden’s NED practice, to take us through how you become an NED, what to expect and the keys to success in such a role. Specifically he will also cover what it takes to be selected for NED positions.

Whether you are a seasoned NED and wish to share your thoughts with your peers, or are considering whether to make a move into this area, you are warmly invited to this networking dinner at the St James Hotel at 6.30 – 9.30pm on the 22nd February 2012.
