Boyden in the Community

So many of our Boyden staff do great work for their communities. See below to learn about the wide variety of organisations and activities that we support, and check back often to find events of interest.

John Ellis

In June 2011 John put together a team of eight golfers to attempt to play 100 holes of golf in a day to raise money for a breast cancer charity.  Starting at 04.15am they completed the task in 15 hours and raised over £12,000.  In June 2012 he is putting together another team to see how many holes they can complete in one day.  He will be seeking sponsorship on behalf of another cancer prevention charity for every hole over 100.

Phil Peters

Phil is one of a team of Boyden UK consultants who are undertaking a significant project with the Hammersmith Academy. This is a local, inner city state school.

The idea is to mentor a group of lower 6th students who are considering A level choices and career options. They come and meet us in a typical work environment and for many, it will be their first experience of seeing a typical office environment. Our consultants will give them guidance and a wide variety of issues and give them support through the quagmire of selecting the right options at A Level, securing a university place and encouragement to look at and prepare for realistic options for employment afterwards.

The mentoring is a long term commitment and we are very much looking forward to watching the students blossom and reach their full potential.
Please do get in contact with me, if you could offer a two week work placement to our eager students!
